A view of observation

It has been a few months since I added a post on this Blog. This is simply that since living in England once again, there is very little to say, unless I want to go a windge of negativity! The downturn of faith in this country is sinking fast.It is sad case that in a country where national hollidays and events always meant a form of act of worship is now not happening. Just this past weekend, many towns & cities recognised "Remberance Sunday", but no one could miss has small it has now got! Now that all the WWI veterans are dead, the next group are the WWII & Korean war Veterans, but as they begin to hit their 90's, these are a matter of a handful of them.
If this is not bad enouugh, there is a reduction of church services across the country. In some rural parts, especially in Scotland,Wales & North Yorkshire, many churches of all denominations no longer have fulltime ministers or priests, but part timers who have to spread their free time across several churches per week. Evensong, a "Rock" within the Anglican communion is now going the same way as compline, a monthly service if you are lucky & some less than that. For the dedicators of compline, it is in Baptist & Methodist churches that will you find them, not in Anglican establishments.
It has been many years, since churches realised that to pull in the next generation, that they need to appeal to their needs; therefore many becan to offer family or childrwn friendly services with others going further with a regular form of "children's ministry", this especially being the case with the non-denominational churches, but as we hit new times of faith, even these churches are giving up this idea and therefore; creating the same environment as everyone else:a meeting place with a social gathering for Seniors who never get out! This makes families feel out of place and the young clergy are not enthusiastic about changing the status quo!
Now we have reached a point that sees the departure of children & whom may never return!
