My Rite to say:God Forbit! Heaven's sake,to Hell with it!

Jesus'ministry was not the only "Preaching Ministry",one of the others,was that of his own cousin, whom we know as John The Baptist.But unlike other preachers, they were not competing in the fierce world of the itinerant preacher, but complimenting each other:" He must Increase, as I must decrease"(John 3:30). Jesus responded likewise:"For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he". ( Luke.7:28, Matt,11:11).

While the Gospel writers continued to focus upon the idea of repentance; furthermore, over 200 years following the death of Christ, the emphasis was highlighted in Johns Gospel, declaring that unless you accept Jesus Christ as your: Lord and Saviour, salvation is the prize that you will never be given. But while Paul in Corinthians has emphasised the "Spiritual Race", there is no one winner, but the acceptance that all who cross the finish line of accepting Jesus Christ and being in Relationship with him:" There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus"(Romans 8:1).
Straight away there is a paradox.

While john's Gospel has been a professed favourite for Christians focusing upon the mission of ;"preaching the Gospel to the unsaved", they have failed to understand the love of Jesus was based upon acceptance. They tend to take things further,but emphasising the medieval idea of making Heaven being a place for the "chosen" who have chosen Christ in a particular way. This is taken further with those who reject this conservative view, but emphasising Hell as the destination for the Lost. But Hell is seen my these Right-wing extremists, as a deep land below the earth full of ash & fire, where you are "heavy ladened" with Iron chains, being whipped by Satan's little demons & at the same time observing the happy time ,that the "true Christians" are having in Heaven. Hell is a metaphor for "separation from God" and the idea of Fire is an emphasis that the extremists are happy to use to terrify society and especially the Christians who fail to conform to the Fundamentalists theology that exists today.
